Winter 2013

We have now finished my least favorite months of the year.  Yes, sometimes great things have happened in January and February such as the birth of some fabulous people, but I need warmth and sunshine, and this year we certainly lacked both.

However, even during these cold months a couple of things happened that warmed my heart.  The first was my niece's wedding in January.  Rachel, my step brother's daughter, married the love of her life on January 11th.
Unfortunately, one month from the date of their wedding Rachel's husband Scott was diagnosed with brain cancer that has already spread and is fast growing.  We have been fasting and praying for them, but it doesn't look good.  I know that Rachel and Scott can use all prayers and support available to help them through the next few months.
Scott has sure treated Rachel and her family kindly. I know they are all having a hard time with his challenges.  They could all use extra prayers.
We were lucky to have Debbie and her three youngest children join us for Presidents' Day weekend.  Here is Caitlyn ready for church.
Cami wasn't about to be outdone by here sister, and dressed up too.
We were able to celebrate Debbie and Bryson's birthday with some cake and ice cream.
R
Rob's family came over too for dinner and the birthday celebrations.
Tyssie knows how to use medical equipment, and helped Debbie learn to use it.  Debbie is taking classes to become a CNA.

Soon the snow will be gone and the sun with be shining.  I am grateful for the rays of sunshine we had during the past few months.
